It’s official: winter has definitely arrived! Our suggestion? Embrace it in all its frosty glory and warm up with this delicious mulled juice cocktail recipe, full of warming goodness to keep the home fires burning.

This addition features one of our favourite ELXR juices remixed in to a warming winter cocktail, to be enjoyed virgin or spiked.

Mulled juice is a fun twist on mulled wine or cider, and is a perfect warm-up for your guests or to enjoy on a cozy date night in. Try this recipe with a splash of Aperol – a light liquor with citrus notes that’s spot on – for some extra cheer.

We love the flavours of beet, fennel, red grape, celery and lime paired with star anise, cardamom and citrus. It’s a little bit of winter heaven to warm up your hands, and your tummy too.

Mulled Winter Juice Cocktail

Serves 2


  • 12 oz ELXR Support Group
  • 2 whole cardamom pods
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 small bay leaf
  • ½ tsp fresh ginger, chopped
  • ½ clementine, sliced
  • 1 whole star anise
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed clementine juice
  • ¾ tsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Aperol, if desired


In a small pot, place 6 oz Support Group, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, ginger and sliced clementine. Bring up to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer over medium-low heat for 5 minutes.

Add to the simmered juice mixture the rest of the Support Group, star anise, orange juice and lime. Heat until just steaming and serve. If desired, add a splash of Aperol to each glass.
